It’s Just Fashion

IT'S JUST FASHION is my passion project—born from my love of fashion, content creation, and the drive to make a meaningful impact on the industry. Through self-teaching, I’ve learned the art of clothing creation, deconstructing garments and studying sewing books to master the intricacies of design. By combining my craft with content creation, I’ve built a platform that sparks a shift toward a more thoughtful approach to fashion—one that challenges the fast-fashion mindset. This platform also serves as a strategic professional move, allowing me the freedom to experiment with new ideas, further develop my personal style, and refine my content creation skills while building a credible brand.

STITCHED TO INSPIRE:

GONE WILD

This was the first full outfit I ever made—crafted entirely from scratch using a pattern I designed myself. It was a turning point in my journey, the moment I truly began to see myself as a designer, creating something uniquely my own for a special event.

A Chronological Journey Through My Crafted Creations

LETS PICNIC BAG

While constructing this denim bag from thrifted jeans, I discovered the magic of interfacing—transforming the structure and finish of my design. This project reignited my love for designing and became a key inspiration for creating It’s Just Fashion.

DOUBLE TROUBLE QUILTED JACKET

This reversible quilted jacket has been one of my most challenging projects yet, designed with bound seams to achieve a fully finished look on both sides.

FLAUNTING FEATHERS DRESS

This dress was full of firsts—my first time making a dress from scratch, crafting a corset-style top, and draping tulle to create pleated details on the cups. It challenged me in new ways, and while not perfect, it marked a major milestone in my growth as a designer.

DON’T BLOCK ME PANT

I transformed three pairs of my brother’s unwanted pants into a single, unique design. This project challenged my approach to style, as I first created a pattern and then pieced it together like a puzzle, using different sections of fabric for each part. It pushed me to see upcycling in a new, more intentional way—one that felt both creative and inspiring.

A Closer Look:

My main priority is Instagram and TikTok, where I’m focused on growing my following and engagement while effectively reaching my target audience. Through these platforms, I create dynamic content, including upcycling videos, styling guides, outfit inspiration, and DIY tutorials, all of which reflect my commitment to sustainable fashion and personal style.

Strategy Breakdown:

Instagram:

  • Content Focus: Regular posts showcase outfits and editorial-style photos, Reels highlight styling tips and upcycling, and Stories offer daily interactions with polls, Q&As, and behind-the-scenes moments.

  • Goal: Build an engaged community around sustainable fashion and personal style, leveraging Instagram’s visual and interactive tools.

TikTok:

  • Content Focus: Short, creative videos such as thrift flips, upcycling tutorials, and styling challenges. Focus on using trends and engaging formats that highlight sustainable fashion in a fun way.

  • Goal: Attract and engage a trend-driven, younger audience, using TikTok to build brand awareness and showcase DIY skills in fashion.
